Closure of the play area at South Kelsey Park on safety grounds, with immediate effect 24 November 2023
Following a recent inspection by the Parish Council, it has been decided that, with immediate effect, the South Kelsey Park Play Area must be closed on safety grounds. The Parish Council are arranging a full inspection of the site by RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) to determine if existing equipment can be repaired to a safe standard, pending refurbishment of the play area.
We are sure you will appreciate that the safety and welfare of all parishioners is paramount - especially our children. Until the inspection has been undertaken and a report is available, we respectfully request that no one is to use the equipment or enter the Play Area until further notice. Signs have been placed on the gates and equipment notifying that no usage is allowed. In addition, barrier tape has been secured to the equipment to highlight this is not to be used.
The Parish Council shall not be held liable for any injury or damage to persons who ignore this notice.
